Troubleshooting

TLauncher skins not working?

If your TLauncher skin is not showing, start with the account, version, restart, and PNG checks below. These steps cover the most common setup problems before you try a new skin.

Use the same TLauncher account

Upload the skin and sign in inside the launcher with the same account. A different account will not use that uploaded skin.

Choose a version with the TL icon

TLauncher skins depend on versions marked with the TL icon. If you start a version without that icon, the skin may stay as Steve or Alex.

Restart after changing the skin

Close Minecraft and restart TLauncher after uploading or changing a skin. The launcher may need a fresh session before the skin appears.

Check the skin PNG format

Use a standard Minecraft skin PNG, usually 64x32 or 64x64. Files with the wrong format can fail to load or preview incorrectly.

Fast reset checklist

  1. Upload a standard Minecraft skin PNG again.
  2. Log out of TLauncher, then log back in with the same account.
  3. Pick a Minecraft version that has the TL icon.
  4. Restart the launcher and the game before testing in a world or server.

Common questions

Why is my TLauncher skin not showing?

The usual causes are a different account, a Minecraft version without the TL icon, no restart after upload, or a skin PNG that does not match the expected format.

Why can other players not see my TLauncher skin?

TLauncher skin visibility can depend on the launcher version, server, account state, and whether other players are using a compatible setup.

Can shaders stop TLauncher skins from showing?

Shaders normally change lighting and visuals, not the account skin itself. If the skin disappears only with a shader setup, test again with shaders disabled to isolate the cause.

Do HD skins work the same way?

TLauncher describes HD skins as a Premium feature. If you are using a standard account flow, start with a normal 64x32 or 64x64 PNG first.
